Contents and objectives of the how-to article
Our how-to articles are educational articles about a specific tool topic. The focus is on your software, without the article sounding promotional. The mention of other tools is possible in consultation with you.
The articles always have an SEO/GEO focus. The goal is to rank for a strong, relevant main keyword and get you brand mentions in popular answer engines.
A brief note on search volumes and expectations for article performance:
In the age of AI search, it is no longer exclusively important to prioritize keywords with huge search volumes. Instead, it is more valuable to provide answers in articles to (sometimes niche) user questions that really concern them in practice. It is no longer the number of views and readers that is decisive, but their quality.
Here are two examples of how-to articles:
KPIs: How we measure the success of articles
On average, we communicate the following KPIs per article to our partners within 6 months (as mentioned, since these always depend heavily on the keyword, they can sometimes be significantly higher - however, we do not guarantee any key figures and always remain conservative in our statements):
-
⌀ 500 page views
-
⌀ CTR on external links: 15%
-
⌀ 385 clicks from Google search
-
⌀ 41 impressions from Google search
-
Top rankings on Google!
-
Target group: Software seekers, buyers, and users from all industries and companies
Duration of a how-to article
Your article will generally have a minimum duration of one year. Once the standard one-year duration of the article has expired, we will contact you to discuss extending the “ownership” of the article and the keyword: For a service fee of €1,500.00, we will then optimize the article again in line with all SEO/GEO factors and extend the term of your article (and thus your ownership and exclusivity with regard to your competitors) by another year. On this occasion, you can also give us your explicit input on any product innovations or changes and have the article updated accordingly. :)
When is a how-to article included in the package?
The Professional package includes one how-to article per one-year term (without newsletter renewal).
When do we recommend implementing a how-to article?
A how-to article is the right format for you if you want to generate visibility and reach. Top rankings on Google and brand mentions in AI responses give you a presence in the buying journey of software buyers and generate traffic. Your presence on an authoritative, trustworthy platform such as OMR Reviews is a decisive factor for your AI visibility.
In addition, a how-to article allows you to build trust and strengthen your branding. A how-to article demonstrates your expertise in a relevant subject area and positions you as a helpful problem solver. You benefit from the trust in the beloved brand OMR and are found exactly where your target group gets their information.
In short: A how-to article is a versatile format that helps you achieve your marketing goals - whether you're a startup or an established player.
How does article implementation work?
The implementation process is as follows:
-
We work with you to define a suitable topic/focus keyword - we are happy to advise you on this!
-
You fill out a short briefing for our editorial team in bullet points (!).
-
Based on this, our editorial team then creates a recommendation for the article structure and sends it to you.
-
You approve the structure.
-
We start writing the text and send you the first draft (V1).
-
You give us your feedback or approve it directly.
-
We send you V2.
-
You approve V2.
-
The article goes live.
-
We plan to feature the live article in one of our upcoming newsletters. For maximum visibility, you should ideally also distribute the content via your own channels.
