Step-by-step guide: How it works π
1. Obtain consent from your customers
Before you start recording, it is extremely important that you obtain written consent from the person being reviewed. This is a legal requirement and ensures transparency.
2. Record meaningful and high-quality video reviews
Record authentic video reviews from your customers in which they talk about their experiences with your software. Whether at customer events, in interviews for success stories, or targeted testimonial recordings, every opportunity is valuable for collecting these reviews.
Supplement each video review with the necessary information about the person giving the review. This helps potential customers better orient themselves. They can see whether the review comes from a company in a similar industry or from a person with a comparable role and perspective.

Once you have recorded your video review, please send the raw files together with the signed consent form to cs-reviews@omr.com.
Our support team will edit the video, add overlays and review questions, and optimize the presentation of your video review.
If you would like to approve the video before publication, please let us know in your email. In this case, we will send you the final version for review. Without such notification, we will publish the video directly on your product profile.

Pay particular attention to good audio quality. Use an external microphone if possible. Make sure the environment is quiet and there is no distracting background noise.

Pay particular attention to sufficient lighting with soft light, ideally from the front. Avoid backlighting or direct, harsh light. Use a tripod or place the camera on a stable surface to avoid shaking. This is crucial for a professional impression.

Choose a calm background, ideally with your branding or product name discreetly and clearly visible. This strengthens brand recognition.
