Ranking & evaluation of agency profiles

How the rating is calculated: reviews from various sources are bundled together

OMR Reviews displays reviews and an average rating for listed agencies. These reviews do not come directly from our platform, but are aggregated from publicly available sources.

Source of data

The reviews come from various established platforms such as:

  • Google Maps

  • Trustpilot

  • Sortlist

  • Clutch

  • ProvenExpert

  • Goodfirms

  • Agenturtipp

All platforms are included in the evaluation with equal weighting.

Direct Reviews via OMR Reviews

Since June 2026, business service providers have been able to generate a survey link via OMR Manager and share it directly with their customers. Customers submit their reviews via a structured survey, and these reviews are published on their OMR Reviews profile.

Reviews submitted via the survey link are already being collected, verified, and displayed on your profile. Soon, they will also be weighted more heavily than external reviews from third-party platforms.

Those who are already actively collecting direct reviews via the OMR Reviews survey link are gaining a head start. Once these reviews are factored into the rankings, they can be used to influence category rankings more effectively than relying solely on external portals.

Display on OMR Reviews

The reviews are visible in two key locations on the platform:

1. On the agency profile

  • Average rating (e.g., ⭐ 4.6)

  • Number of reviews included (e.g., “(32 reviews)”)

Tooltip with a note on the data source:

“The number of reviews and the provider’s average rating are derived in part or in full from external sources.”

2. On category and overview pages

  • Agencies are sorted within their category based on their average rating.

  • Agencies with higher ratings appear higher on the list.

  • Agencies without usable reviews are listed further down accordingly.

Individual reviews or specific platform sources are not displayed—only the aggregated average and the total number.

How to Improve Your Ranking

The more reviews you have and the higher your average score, the higher you’ll be listed on OMR Reviews. The following steps will help you:

1. Collect direct reviews via the OMR Reviews survey link

Direct reviews will soon be weighted more heavily than external reviews. If you start early, you’ll build a head start. You can find your personal survey link in OMR Manager under the “Reviews” tab. You can share the link directly with customers, for example, after a project is completed or a milestone is reached.

2. Check your presence on external platforms

Know which relevant platforms your company is already represented on. Search specifically for your company name in combination with platforms like “Trustpilot” or “Clutch.” Make sure your profiles are complete and up to date:

  • Branding: Your logo and description should be up to date.

  • Contact: Are your website links and contact information still correct?

  • Services: Does the list of categories and services reflect your current portfolio?

  • References: Are your team size and client references up to date?

Search Google for your company name + “Trustpilot,” “Clutch,” etc., to find all the listings.

3. Make sure you have up-to-date reviews on the platforms

Actively ask customers for reviews, and be specific about which platform you’d like them to leave feedback on. Choose the right moments to do so:

  • after successfully completing a project

  • after measurable successes or upon reaching a milestone

  • after receiving positive customer feedback via email or phone

4. Ranking Update on OMR Reviews

We aggregate your external reviews. Soon, we’ll also combine them with your direct reviews via OMR Reviews. Your ranking will be updated automatically. You don’t need to manually submit or change your number of reviews or your average rating.

You cannot manually change or “submit” your rating on OMR Reviews. It is automatically updated based on aggregated data.

FAQs

  • Why does our agency not have a rating on OMR Reviews?

If no (or too few) reviews are found on the connected external platforms, no rating can be displayed.

  • How often are the reviews updated?

The data is updated at regular intervals by our partner.

  • Can users submit reviews directly on OMR Reviews?

No, currently there is no option on OMR Reviews to submit reviews for agencies directly via the platform. The reviews displayed come exclusively from external sources. A separate review function for agencies on OMR Reviews is in the planning stage.

  • Can I see which platform the reviews come from?

No, only aggregated data is displayed (average rating + number of reviews).

  • Why does my OMR score differ from my rating on Google, Trustpilot, or Sortlist?

The OMR score is not a simple average of the sources, but a weighted calculation. It takes into account both the number and quality of the reviews. This is why there may be slight variations across individual platforms, even if the number of reviews is the same.

  • Why don't agencies with only a few 5-star reviews automatically rank at the top?

Because our ranking system rewards consistency. Two perfect reviews aren't enough to outrank agencies with dozens of consistently good reviews. This provides a fairer picture of actual performance.

  • Will my score still be weighted if I only have reviews from a single platform?

Yes. Even if your reviews come exclusively from a single source, they are weighted in the same way. This ensures that comparisons between agencies with different numbers of sources remain consistent.
